What are some great products to rejuvenate my skin after all my hard partying?
—Sarah, Los Angeles
I assume that we have been hydrating ourselves with good old-fashioned water, right? Riiiiiggght? Good. I would hate to have to come to your house and beat you with a nice hot washcloth.
Lucky you! I've tracked down one of the most future-forward skin care experts out there. Meet Spirit Demerson, president and founder of eco-minded Spirit Beauty Lounge, a skin care portal extraordinary.

Christina Aguilera recently celebrated her 28th birthday and given her track record, we expected lots of makeup and even more cleavage. Surprise! The girls were hidden and there was only one painted eye, thanks to the Clockwork Orange theme.
Normally, we despise bowler hats but how adorable are Christina and hubby Jordan? The signer even added a personal touch to her Alex costume with high-heel booties and her signature colored pout.
Happy Belated B-Day, Christina—and send us an invite next year, 'kay?

Last year's colorblocking trend is still going strong. Black Halo, T-Bags and LaROK offer some of our favorite youthful, contrasting brights. But if you want a more sophisticated look, try a monochromatic multitone dress.
The subtlety of varying shades in a single color is mature, but still modern. I suggest buying one in spring's more understated hues: lavender or slate (bluish/gray). Any neutral will also work.
Just remember that the placement of the blocks will affect your body. A vertical split, like Molly Sims' Alberta Ferretti, elongates and adds height. A diagonal pattern, such as the one on Jamie King's Jason Wu, produces an hourglass shape. Shop both styles by clicking through the gallery below!

Both Lauren Conrad and Carmen Electra have worked floaty, flirty frocks on the red carpet, but one paid a great deal more for her white cloud of a dress.

Wearing a tiara on your birthday is so last year. But collecting one-of-a-kind crowns will never go out of style. In celebration of the 10th and final book in the Princess Diary series, celebrities, authors and designers decorated tiaras to be auctioned off through Jan. 31 to benefit New York teen programs.

Hi, y'all!
It is the finale for the first season, and yes, I will let you follow along my journey till the end. Can you believe it? In seven months, I have lost 104 pounds! That averages out to be about 14 pounds a month; that is 1 pound every two to three days. YAY! I am hacky wacky about it. I still have over 200 pounds more to lose! WOW!
But I am determined to win for me and you! It is the hardest battle of my life. But this is the battle for my life. For the first time, I really got it! I really got it that this was killing—and will kill—me. It is not only about the weight, y'all, it's what having 10 to 100, to 200, to 300 extra pounds will do to you. The scary thing to me, even knowing this, is that I have to fight to beat this. This is an addiction!

Having practiced yoga for many years, I thought my first Pilates class would be a cinch. But I found it impossible to remember to tighten my abs, or "core" as it's called, for 45 minutes straight. Then Rese activewear, which supposedly helps maintain correct form, was recommended to me. So I decided to give Pilates another go, this time decked out in the "smart" apparel.

Celebrities majorly disappointed me this New Year's Eve. Eva Longoria was a bore, Fergie wore a repeat and the Kardashians went from metallic class to sequined trash. Let's pray it's not a forecast of what's to come in 2009.
Thankfully, one actress was deserving of a Style Shout-Out: Chloë Sevigny. Her African-glam-meets-Parisian luxury look came straight from Louis Vuitton's runway. The sheer top was super sexy and the color combo was far more interesting than the ubiquitous silver and gold. The highlight of her outfit? The accessories: lace-up gladiator sandals, a gilded tassel clutch and chunky bangles galore.
Take note, because thick bangles are in for spring. Animal prints, gold, vibrant colors and various textures are meant to be combined together. This is one time when clashing is a good thing! And the best part is that Forever 21 has the bracelets now, for cheap. I've picked six of my faves below. Stack them on two, three, even five at a time!
From top left: Safari Bangle ($6.80), Polished Stone Elastic Bracelet ($8.80), Striped Bangle Set ($4.80)
From bottom left: Diamond Bangle ($5.80), Splatter Bangle ($5.80) Emmeline Hinged Bangle ($6.80)

Here's what caught our eye on the Web this week:
Paris Hilton said she "helped the economy" by spending 5,560 Australian dollars during a quickie shopping spree. That's sweet and all, but the heiress supposedly got paid 100,000 Australian dollars for her appearance Down Under. What did she do with the rest—buy hair extensions and a fake tan? (Breitbart)
Speaking of hair extensions, U.K. skin experts say extensions can lead to permanent baldness. Uh-oh, that means Paris and half of Hollywood might lose their locks by 2019. (Daily Mail)
In other hair news, 90210's AnnaLynne McCord seems to think black is the new blonde. (Just Jared)
Prince William grows a beard and Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson gets a crew cut! We no likey. (Off the Rack)
You know that Chevy commercial where thousands of shoes fall from the sky? This morning, it actually happened in Miami. (CBS4)
In February, Net-a-Porter will start selling their high-fashion goods for less in an online outlet. Our credit cards are already preparing for a major workout. (The Out Net)

Can you tell me what trends will be hot in 2009?
—Anna, Telluride, Colorado
That's my girl! Ready for what the fashion gods have in store for the 0-9! Here are my predictions.
1. Floaty femme. That's the best way I can describe this look, really. Think thin, almost ethereal layers of pale cotton, lace or even buttery leather, cut into '60s-inspired retro shapes. The general look will be girly and innocent, with a Denueve-like seduction lurking beneath the ruffles and the cutouts. (A good starter look is Chloé's jersey and organza dress, available for pre-order online.)
Is Carmen Electra dressing under the influence?
Carmen went all wild and crazy at the after-holiday sales, but instead of saving the tinsel for her next tree, she decided to wear it New Year's Eve. How else to explain this icicle dress? It just leaves us cold!

It's a new year, which means fresh trends are just around the corner. Once the winter snow melts, we're diving headfirst into spring style. Take a look at the four trends that we're most excited about, and then tell us what you can't wait to wear in '09.
Karen: Combining bold prints, like the stripes and painterly pattern on M Missoni's Mixed Materials dress ($845).
Sydne: Adding touches of neon—brightening a neutral outfit with Jimmy Choo's Jasmine patent sandals ($585).
Danielle: Showcasing daytime sequins, by pairing casual slacks with 3.1 Phillip Lim's racerback tank ($395).
Lisa: Geometric statement necklaces, like Substance's acrylic and wood pieces ($143).
And we're looking forward to a stylish year, of course. Happy 2009 from the mystyle team!
